Biosolids Organic Compost

WHAT IS COMPOST?

South Valley Compost is the product resulting from the controlled biological decomposition of organic matter found in yard trimmings and treated biosolids that has been sanitized through the generation of heat and stabilization to the point that it is beneficial to plant growth. Compost is an organic matter resource that has the unique ability to improve the chemical, physical, and biological characteristics of soil and growing media.

HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?

With South Valley Compost! Avid gardeners will quickly understand the value of quality compost when they add it to their flowerbeds, gardens, or landscape. Use it to top dress established lawns, amend soils for newly seeded lawns, tree planting, vegetable and flower gardens.

Compost generally helps make most plants healthier. Compost helps retain moisture in sandy soils, breaks up clay in heavy soils, provides micro and macro nutrients, helps improve drainage, reduces erosion and helps hold nutrients in the root zone where plants can use them, it makes the soil more workable for yearly replanting and easy weeding. Using compost completes the organic recycling loop.
